LAUNCHING OF PETA HIJAU JAKARTA TRAIL (Green Map Jakarta) + ed 9: Jakarta The Past, Portrait The Present
Community of Green Map Jakarta (PHJ) (http://greenmap.or.id/) is a community volunteer who joined from various backgrounds to provide green travel options by providing the Green Map that contains the locations of family-based alternative tourism and public transportation more green information .
In the celebration series of Jakarta to the 484th Anniversary (06/22/2011), the Community launched the Green Map Jakarta PHJ 9 issue: Jakarta The Past, Portrait The Present. This map is an update and refinement of the PHJ 4 issue: Old Town (2005) in which the region is more extensive survey and mapping and documenting the recording is more diverse. Mapping the territory extended south from the Port of Sunda Kelapa - City Station stop was extended down to the Archives Building (Jl. Gajah Mada), from the Museum of Ceramics to Kampung Bandan (East), and from time to Pekojan Large (West).
Exploring the Old City area seemed to visit the miniature city that was in critical situations. Life events far exceed the carrying capacity of the environment. The failure of urban spatial planning is characterized by population density makes the City feels claustrophobic smothering. Density dense buildings making the area prone to fires. While the old abandoned buildings seriously neglected. Environmental quality had fallen sharply.
But amid concerns that, in a series of Tour Green Map, we will find the remnants of 'goodness' is positive. These capital good starts to bounce back (again) to improve, revitalize, and preserve the environment. Plurality of places of worship, traces of the village tribes, remnants of old buildings historic marker regions, where inorganic garbage collectors, compost processing site, as well as green open space left.
The tour carried on foot. Principally, go to the green location by the green way. Armed with a Green Map, let's find a surprising variety of other uniqueness.
